Blitz
This quilt is remarkable in that I have had zero compositional crises while making it. The layout is pretty much finished (this photo not up to date) and I think I'm ready to sew, barring some minor minor changes.
In other news I have some weird spots in my vision that my eye doctor said were because some sack of gel has pulled away from the back of my eye---but not in a bad way.
Also I planted seeds on the weekend!

WOAH! Crazy about the eye. Does that mean you are seeing a lot of floaters? The body (not unlike the bird imagery) can be so weird sometimes.
I love the new quilt. It looks very crisp and fresh.
I imagine you saying, "some sack of gel has pulled away from the back of my eye---but not in a bad way" in real life at Girl Lunch in Toronto and it makes me laugh.
I agree with Allison re: the quilt.
I am seeing some floaters and I can't decide if I am seeing more - my eye person said (when I said the one turned into two) that maybe the one broke into two pieces.
???
The only trick with this quilt is that, when it's sewn, it will only be 30"x40". Is that too small???
Woah, forever spots??
I'm not sure - maybe forever - wouldn't that be weird?
