Cat video, quilt update

Hello faithful reader, it's a new decade!

I have all these quilts I want to make, but sometimes it takes me a long time to get the composition right. I did an art exchange with my friend Tom, because I really like his drawings and decided that might be a good way to get one to put in my house.

Here is what he sent me (I got it framed here):

Right now I am working on something where the composition is easy, it's a quilt for my nephew Jack, and it's about my chaotic life in New York and a search for pattern:

Advent

New or newish photos

These first couple of photos are from a walk in the East Village the other day; it was fun to do something I don't normally do. I think I'm craving variety and new experiences these days.



On the way something caught my eye.



I went in the store, and came out a little happier.



Some other randoms: a found object; the Lincoln Center fountain, which just reopened; and a parked van on 110th kind of near my house.
