blitzquilt+++++crisis
I am not yet done the top of this blitzquilt. I had a frustrating night last night trying to get things to work, and became very tense. This seems to be a necessary part of my design process, which is becoming clearer through this blitzquilt work:
In the meanwhile, here are a few pictures from my dear darling nephew Daniel's fourth birthday partay.
1. Original idea arrives (or no clear idea but something is begun)Some variations on the current blitzquilt design are over here. Comments welcome; updates to come.
2. Initial bits are made and are satisfactory but are not completed or attached
3. Some sort of crisis arrives in the attaching; panic ensues
4. Crisis eventually is resolved by calming down ("it's not the end of the world," etc) and changing the design, usually in an obvious way (obvious once I think of it)
5. The rest is straightforward work and is done quickly
In the meanwhile, here are a few pictures from my dear darling nephew Daniel's fourth birthday partay.

I can't wait till my niece and nephew are a little older so that i can go to birthday parties again.
Also good luck on the quilt! Art-making takes so much courage.
Is it just me or does the quilt look Japanese? It looks great, by the way.
You nephews are cute, as always.
