Slow
Adjusting to living in a completely different place takes a long time. I've been in my own apartment for a little more than a month; we have one room (the kitchen) left to paint; we now have a table to eat at and chairs to sit on; I hung one of my little quilts on the wall. Slowly, slowly, I am making a home.
This weekend will be the first Toronto shenanigans in New York since I've lived here. (Well, first with the notable exception of Jelena, who visited LL early in January.) A whole pile of folks (Enoch, Megarrah, David, KARL) are going to be in town all at once. And someone in particular will be making her way to the city on Saturday: I'm going to Toronto tonight so I can escort her. It's all going to be very good.
I've carved a nice walk into my morning commute, here are some pics from today.

yes, setting up shop takes LONG.
I think it's cool that you and I are going through a similar thing in two very different places.
And now I want Enoch and Karl to bring me my cat.
Sue, thanks for the post card.
I guess even the coolest cities are hard to get used to when you're from somewhere else.
Thoughts and prayers,
