dishcloths are my favourite! stevie i totally recommend them as presents -- and for ANY occasion -- i usually have one on the needles just in case a sudden gift or dishdoing is needed.

stephanie: basically, those vertical lines are stitches slipped for four rows. the pattern is from the mason-dixon knitting book (ball-band dishcloth).
